SScale Themedocs

Footer configuration: 5 layouts, reveal effect, image blocks, menu, socials, newsletter, and trust badges.

Footer

The Scale Theme footer is a rich and configurable section that anchors your store with essential information. It offers 5 layouts, an original reveal effect, and modular blocks to compose exactly the footer you need.

5 Layouts

LayoutDescriptionBest for
ColumnsContent organized in columnsClassic layout, most stores

StackedSections stacked verticallyMinimalist design, lots of content
MinimalCompact footer with the essentialsSimple stores, landing pages
MagazineEditorial layout with large typography and creative arrangementLifestyle stores, blogs, media

Columns

The most versatile layout. Content is distributed across configurable columns (2 to 5 columns).

Split

The footer is divided into two distinct zones: a brand zone (logo, text, social links) and a links/newsletter zone.

Stacked

Content is stacked vertically in clearly separated sections. Each block spans the full width.

Minimal

The most compact footer: a single line with essential links and copyright.

Magazine

Editorial layout with large typography and creative arrangement. The logo and brand name are prominently featured.

Reveal effect

The reveal effect is an animation where the footer slides beneath the page content. As you scroll down, the page "rises" and reveals the footer underneath, as if the footer were hidden behind the page.

SettingDescriptionOptions
Enable revealActivates the reveal effectYes / No

page content at the bottom, 2) content rising, 3) footer fully revealed underneath)

💡The reveal effect works particularly well with the Columns and Magazine layouts. It creates an elegant visual separation between the page content and the footer.
⚠️The reveal effect can cause issues on very short pages (where content doesn't exceed the screen height). In that case, the footer is immediately visible without animation.

Best practices

  1. Automatic copyright: Use the year variable so the copyright is always up to date
  2. Structured menus: Create 2-3 distinct menus for the footer (About, Help, Legal) rather than one long menu
  3. Newsletter: Add a clear incentive ("10% off your first order")
  4. Trust badges: Display payment methods to build trust, especially if you sell internationally
  5. Reveal: Test the effect on multiple pages before publishing, particularly on short pages
